Investment Sector: 270 Investments Allowed In Mandalay Region

84 foreign and 186 of local investments have been allowed in Mandalay Region during the fiscal year of 2022-2023, mainly in industrial, hotels and tourism and many other services sectors. China and Singapore are the main investors in the Region.
Dr. Min Zaw Oo, Director, DICA (Mandalay Region) said “The 84 foreign investments are over 4,100 million USD while the 186 local investments are over 5,479 billion Kyats. China was allowed to invest in 26 businesses, Singapore in 19 businesses investment and Hong Kong in 6 businesses. We are now scrutinizing a hotel, a motor cycle manufacturing industry and a bean processing plant to allow investment.”
The most invested sector is industry with 76 businesses and the second is hotels and tourism sector with 30 businesses.
