Investment Issues: Promotion of local investment activities in Magway

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw on Tuesday addressed a discussion on promotion of local investment activities in Magway Region.

In his address at the Magway Townhall, the Union Minister said in order to further develop local/citizen investment activities, including MSME activities in Magway Region, the state will take steps to verify and meet the needs. By promoting domestic investment activities, current businesses can operate on a stronger basis and strive to improve the local products manufacturing.

Also, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin highlighted the Government’s support for development of the oil industry in the Region.Efforts are also being made to strengthen livestock farming. The Chief Minister also urged attendees to strive for the development of the Region.

And, the Union Minister, the Chief Minister and officials viewed round the booths displaying local products. This event continued with discussions on investment opportunities in Magway Region for sectors including agriculture, hotels and tourism, livestock farming, oil crops plantation and solar power generation.
