Investment committee meeting: Shan State Investment Committee held meeting (2/2023)

Shan State Investment Committee held its meeting (2/2023) in the morning on 21st March at the meeting hall of the Shan State Government in Taunggyi of Shan State.

At the meeting, Chairman of Shan State Investment Committee Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye said that the investments facilitate the development of the state and the job creation for the local people. For the easy and convenient investment process, the collective effort of the committee members, relevant departments and industries is needed.

Next, the committee secretary clarified the extension of construction period for hotel service industry, submission of permission for shifting industry, production of animal feed and exporting and rice milling and trading. The committee members discussed the general matters and the committee chairman Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye gave a speech of conclusion.

Shan State Investment Committee has permitted five foreign investment worth 11 million USD and 13 citizens’ investments worth over 31 billion Kyats including 6.093 million USD. From those investments, 994 jobs in domestic and 53 in abroad have been created, it’s reported.
