Investment Committee meeting: Committee approved 2 local and foreign investments

The Yangon Region Investment Committee held its (2/2025) meeting at the Region Investment Committee Office, Yankin Township in the morning on February 26.

The meeting was attended by Yangon Region Investment Committee Chairman, Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, committee members Region Ministers, and special invitees, who inspected the displays of products produced by investors and entrepreneurs.

At the meeting, the Chairman of Yangon Region Investment Committee Region Chief Minister delivered a speech and the Region Investment Committee approved one investment project fully owned by Myanmar citizen and one foreign investment project in the hotel and tourism sector and the industrial sector. The projects are hotel services and various types of wearing apparel manufacturing using the CMP system.

The capital of these investment projects is 796.950 million Kyats and 1 million USD, and it has created 1,920 local employment opportunities. The meeting also discussed and decided on the presentations of 13 companies that presented general issues.
