Investment Committee Meeting: Bago Region Investment Committee held its meeting

Bago Region Investment Committee held its meeting at the Regional Government Office on August 16th. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win discussed that Bago Region is equipped with favourable transportation access with lots of vacant lands for investment and work force.

The Chief Minister urged officials to supervise for timely completion of the construction of factories and workshops, and implementation of the invested projects. The meeting sought approval on the permission for the additional investment and increased import of raw materials by three factories.

Bago Region received 1.2 million US dollar worth of foreign investment during August, making the total investment from February 2021 to date reaches over 201 million US dollar, and more than 81 billion kyat local investment. These investments create job opportunities for over 12,000 residents.
