Investment Affairs: Shan State Committee holds meeting 5/2024

Shan State Investment Committee held the meeting 5/2024 on Thursday at the State Government office in Taunggyi.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Committee Chief Minister U Aung Aung said that the committee must make efforts to invite investments in order to create employment opportunities, to get access to technologies, to increase trade and to obtain financial capital. Facilitation of investment activities needs to be carried out, the Chief Minister added.

This meeting continued with sector-wise discussions for investments in the State. It’s reported that the Shan State Investment Committee approved investments worth of over 4.6 billion Kyats including 7 foreign investments worth of 16.163 million USD and 18 local investments worth of 7.592 million USD which created over 1,500 jobs.
