Investment Affairs:’ Bago Region Committee holds coordination meeting 3/2024

The Bago Region Investment Committee held its work coordination meeting (3/2024) at the TawWin Hanthar Meeting Hall of the Regional Government Office.

First, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win stressed that the investors will only make investments in areas with smooth transportation, sufficient land area and workforce. The Cutting, Making and Packaging (CMP) enterprises are also welcomed to provide several job opportunities.

The Bago Region Investment Committee is making exerted efforts for the development of investment sector of the region, for the emergence of businesses and investments which meet the international standards, as well as to protect investors and their enterprises in line with the laws and to create job opportunities.

Then, the acting secretary of the committee presented power point presentation about new foreign investment project and the committee members supplemented the discussion. Then, the Chief Minister coordinated necessities.

According to the reports, a total of 1.1 Million USD worth of foreign investment was made in Bago Region during May and about 893 jobs were created. From 1st February 2021 to May 2024,  a total of 200.115 Million USD worth of Foreign Investment and over 80.1 billion Kyats of local investment were made for 12,490 jobs.
