







In accordance with the theme of “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways For Sustainable Development”, the event of International Youth Day was observed at the Township Hall of Dawei Township of Taninthayi Region at 9 AM on 12th August.
At the event, Region Youth Affairs Committee Chairman Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that in line with the third objective out of 9 social objects “To nurture the youth sector, bringing out versatile, physically strong, knowledgeable, morally upright, socially adept and economically empowered young individuals, poised to lead the nation's development efforts”, the State Administration is implementing the work plans for the youth development in sector-wise.
The Government is carrying out for the comprehensive development and nurturing the youth who will shoulder the State sectors as the good and bad of the future country is depending on the youth’s capability, morality, patriotic spirit and responsibility and accountability.
Next, the Chief Minister and Chief Justice of the Region High Court awarded the first, second and third prizes to the winners in the University and degree college level essay contests and Basic Education High School Level essay contest held in commemoration of International Youth Day.
Next, the students from University of Technology (Dawei) and University of Computer Studies (Dawei) performed with the songs honored the youth and students from Dawei Education Degree College presented the cultural dances of the national races.Then, the Chief Minister, officials and students viewed the youth awareness campaign documentary photos and books displayed in the hall, it’s reported.
