International Session : Digitalization of Industrial Russia 2026 forum

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw attended the plenary international session of the Digitalization of Industrial Russia 2026 forum in Nizhny Novgorod on May 19.

The discussion focused on “Digital Industry Map: Roles and Responsibilities on a Global Scale”, with representatives from Zimbabwe, Serbia, and India also taking part. On May 20, the Union Minister met with Russian Deputy Minister Mr. Alexander Shoitov to discuss cooperation between Myanmar and Russia in artificial intelligence (AI), information and communication technology (ICT), cybersecurity, and human resource development.

Later, the Union Minister met with Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Mr. Gleb Sergeevich Nikitin and discussed Russia’s efforts to develop Nizhny Novgorod as a “Quantum Valley” and establish the world-class NEIMARK University. He also shared Myanmar’s plans for the Yadanabon Cyber City project and expressed interest in cooperation and sharing experiences in technology and human resource development.
