International Military Technical Forum: Myanmar attends the ARMY-2024 Forum in Russia

Myanmar delegation led by Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San arrived back in Yangon on 16th August after attending the International Military Technical Forum (ARMY-2024) in Kubinka Moscow of Russian Federation.

On 12th August, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of International Military Technical Forum (ARMY-2024) and the plenary meeting. The opening ceremony was inaugurated with a speech of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin via video conferencing and the opening remarks of the Russian Defence Minister.

Then, the delegation together with the attendees overviewed the military supplies and vehicle exhibited at the respective galleries.  The 2nd day of ARMY 2024 Forum exhibitions continued on 13th August and the delegation observed combat vehicles, military supplies, UAV and Drones.

In the evening, the delegation met with Russian Defence Minister Mr. Andrei Belousov at the office of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors, strengthening bilateral relations, military cooperation, sending scholars as well as current development in Myanmar and the region as well.

On 14th August, the delegation visited Myanmar Embassy and met with the Embassy staff and explained the current development process of Myanmar. They also presented gifts to the staff and encouraged them.
