International Military Tattoo opens in Moscow

The opening ceremony of Russia's Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival and Tattoo took place in Moscow's Red Square. The annual festival features military band parades, dance performances and fireworks displays.

This year marks the festival's 15th installment, but participants have come from fewer countries than in previous years. This year bands from India, Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Egypt, Thailand and Venezuela are visiting Moscow to participate in the festival. The festival will run through till September 4.
