In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) held the “UMFCCI Centennial International Expo-2019 on Friday at Fortune Plaza (Myanmar Expo) in Thaketa Township of Yangon, with the presence of Vice President U Henry Van Thio.
The international grand expo supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, the expo intends to expand business network for local entrepreneurs, to penetrate local products in international market and to have quality import products in local market.
Established in 1919, UMFCCI comprised with State and Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Border Trade Associations and affiliated associations.
UMFCCI supports interaction between the private business sector and the State own businesses as well as business communities with international partner organizations and institutions for strengthening Myanmar business.
Joint-Secretary, UMFCCI Centennial International Expo organizing committee, Myo Thant said “We intended for the local entrepreneurs to have stronger businesses network with international business partners and organizations. This expo will provide more trade promotion opportunities in our country. We also arranged promotion conference, seminars, workshops and business matching sessions. Talk show by local and international experts will also be included.”
This International expo will support explore and investment opportunities, business matching, create the job opportunities and attract the international investors as well as benefits for local and international exhibitors, said the participant.
Joint Secretary, Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI), Cho Chue said “UMFCCI is a reliable federation for the country economic development. MRCCI also carry out a lot of economic development process such as business training program, to get ISO certificate as well as business matching for local entrepreneurs.”
This grand expo exhibited IT, Engineering, machinery, logistics, services, construction materials, foodstuff, auto parts, handmade, pharmaceutical and lifestyle, and so on.
Executive Director, Aung Gyi Group of Companies, Thet San Win said “We eagerly joined to this 100 anniversary of UMFCCI so as to get networking with international exhibitors as well as meet our partner organizations and institutions. Our company imported and distributed machine and heavy machine, vehicles and related tools. I hope UMFCCI to exist longer for our country economic development.”
More than 245 value added and semi- finished products booths from local and international companies including the products from Netherland, Germany, Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Singapore and Thailand are being exhibited in this grand expo which will be run from 20th to 22nd of September.
