International Cooperation: Myanmar to join World Traditional Medicine Conference

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win departed on 1st December by flight from Yangon International Airport to the People's Republic of China at the invitation of Mr. Lei Haicho, Party Secretary of National Health Commission of China.

The delegation will attend the 2024 World Traditional Medicine Conference, which will be held in Beijing from December 3rd to 4th. Officials from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Health bade farewell to the delegation at the Airport. Along with the Union Minister of Health, officials from the Ministry accompanied the delegation.

The conference will be attended by health ministers, senior officials, representatives from international organizations, experts, and business leaders from around the world. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about traditional medicine from various countries and exchange experiences.

Additionally, Myanmar's traditional medicine will be showcased internationally, which will help enhance bilateral cooperation in health sector between the two countries. This event is expected to further strengthen diplomatic relations and people-to-people connections between the two nations.
