The International Akhal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest took place in Ashgabat

Turkmenistan is holding celebrations in honor of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse. The qualifying round of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest has already taken place at the Ashgabat Equestrian Center. This year, 20 of the best representatives of the breed, selected from 40 applicants, competed for the right to advance to the finals.

The competition on Tuesday included three stages of evaluation. Based on the results of all three stages, the jury selected 10 finalists. These finalists will compete in the final for the title of "Most Beautiful Akhal-Teke Horse of the Year." The National Turkmen Horse Day is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of April and brings together various events dedicated to the history and modern development of horse breeding in Turkmenistan.
