Inter-ministry volleyball tournament: Marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

In commemoration of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the final matches of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Cup Inter-ministry (men/women) volleyball tournament took place at the Wunna Theikdhi stadium-B in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Members of the State Administration Council General Mya Tun Oo, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U MoungHar, U Sai Lon Hsai, Saw Daniel, Dr. Banyar Aung Moe and U ShweKyein, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, deputy Ministers, officials and sports enthusiasts enjoyed the matches.

In the final match of women volleyball event, the Ministry of Defence team won the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs team and in the men volleyball event, the Ministry of Defence team defeated the Ministry of Home Affairs team.

After the matches, the prize awarding ceremony was held and deputy ministers, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan and SAC members presented medals and honoraria to the best female and male volleyball players and the winning women and men volleyball teams.

The SAC Chairman’s Cup Inter-ministry (men/women) volleyball tournament in commemoration of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 was held at Wunna Theikdhi stadium (B) from 14th to 27th December and 20 men teams and 9 women teams from respective ministries participated in the tournament, aiming for uplifting health and fitness of the entire nation and emerging outstanding volleyball players who can take pride for the nation through the Inter-ministry sports tournament.
