








Jointly organized by Nay Pyi Taw Council and Myanmar Tracks and Fields Federation, marking 78th Independence Day, Inter-Ministerial sports competitions were held at respective training grounds (1), (3) and (4) of Wunnathehti stadium and Uppatasanti pagoda compound, Nay Pyi Taw Yarzahtani Road. Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee and Subcommittee for Organizing Inter-Ministerial Sports Competitions marked the 78th Anniversary Independence Day, Union Minister for the ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, attended to observe the competitions.
Initially, to start the Marathon race comprised of 21 kilometer, 10 kilometer between 14 and 16 age and 5 kilometer below 13 age (Men\Women), Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Mayor U Than Tun Oo, and Deputy Ministers for Sports and Youth Affairs U Htein Lin and Zin Min Htet shot the guns respectively and observed.
After the matches, at the awarding ceremony, Union Minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Deputy Ministers and responsible officials awarded individual medals, cash prize of honor and additional cash prize of honor to the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and consolation prize winners and record-breaker in 21 Kilometer Women (Open) Marathon, Hnin Pwint Aung (Youth Camp).
Then, the Union Minister and officials observed the sports competitions held at the training ground (3), (4) and (1) of Wunna Theiddhi Stadium, it’s reported.
