Inter Departmental Futsal Tournament: Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister’s Cup kicked off

On 6th February, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko attended the opening ceremony of Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister’s Cup Inter Departmental Futsal Tournament at the Futsal Stadium in Dawei Township and made a speech. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed the purpose of the tournament and encouraged the players to make exerted efforts to become athletes who bring prestige to the region and their respective departments. He also emphasized on sportsmanship that every athlete must uphold.

As the excellent players from the tournament will be selected to participate in region and state competitions, all of the players must make strenuous efforts during tournament for the best outcomes.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed the match between Region Immigration Office and Rural Road Development Department which completed draw with the score 1-1. The tournament is set to be held until 14th February with the participation of 8 teams.
