Inter-College Football Tournament: Mawlamyine Zone emerges championship

Mawlamyine Zone Team secured the Championship Trophy of the Inter-College Football Tournament by defeating Myitkyina Zone Team with a score line of 5-3.

The final match was enjoyed by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Council Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, council members, union level officials, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, senior military officers, Nay Pyi Taw Council members and officials, Team Managers, coaches, athletes, students, teachers, and enthusiastic fans.

The competition saw the two finalists locked in a draw until the conclusion of extra time. During a penalty shoot-out, Mawlamyine Zone Team won victory with a 5-3 score over Myitkyina.

The prize presentation ceremony honored outstanding players, as well as awarding medals and cash prizes to the third, second, and first-place winners. Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented the Championship Trophy and a cash award to the victorious Mawlamyine Zone Team.
