Inter-BEHS Football Tournament: Rakhine State CM attended the football matches

The 2025 Monsoon Season Inter-Basic Education Schools Football Tournament, organized under the supervision of the Rakhine State Government, is currently being held at the Dhanyawaddy Sports Ground in Sittwe. On the evening of July 26, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, together with members of the state government, departmental officials, teachers, sports teams, students, and sports enthusiasts, attended the event and watched the matches in support.

In Group (A) matches, the No. 3 Basic Education High School football team faced off against the No. 6 Basic Education High School football team, with the No. 6 BEHS team winning the match by a score of 2 goals to 1.

The Rakhine State Government organized this football tournament with the aim of promoting public health and fitness as part of a national effort for a healthy and resilient population, encouraging youth to actively participate in the nation’s development as a key driving force, developing well-rounded and capable young people, and elevating youth development through sports and physical education.

The 2025 Monsoon Season Inter-Basic Education Schools Football Tournament is being held from July 7 to 27 at the Dhanyawaddy Sports Ground in Sittwe. A total of 10 teams from Basic Education High Schools and sub-high schools are participating in the competition through group stage matches.
