





A closing ceremony of the 2026 International Referees Course opened to elevate the standard of football in Kachin State and to produce a new generation of qualified referees in line with rules and regulations, was held on Sunday morning in the meeting room of the State Sports and Physical Education Department.
Jointly organized by the Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Department and the Referees Committee of the Myanmar Football Federation, the 5-day training course was attended by 43 young local refereeing enthusiasts.
At the ceremony, State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan delivered an address, presented completion certificates to the trainees, and awarded an honorarium of 1.5 million kyats to the course instructors. In response, a referee instructor briefed the audience on the execution, experiences, and future prospects of the training program, followed by an expression of gratitude from a trainee representative.
