







Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the condition of the main building of the MRTV Office in Yangon as its roof was slightly damaged by strong wind on the 14th of May.
And, he gave necessary instructions to repair the roof as it also covers the Studio-A. There, the Union Minister also oversaw an inspection whether there is any damage to the broadcasting equipment and gave necessary instructions. At the Office, he also met with the staff from the MRTV Music Department and urged them to train and prepare for more local and foreign performances.
And, he presented cash awards to the band for their performances at the Myanmar Film Academy Awards Event. At the Yay Kuu broadcasting station, the Union Minister inspected packing of necessary equipment to erect a temporary 30-meter high tower in the place of the 100-meter high tower damaged by strong wind in Sittwe Township on 14th May, a 300-watt transmitter to re air FM radio, 500 DTH sets, and to send a pair of Back Pack.
It’s reported that in order to quickly erect a 30-meter tower, necessary equipment including a 300 watt transmitter and 500 DTH sets and a pair of Back Pack were delivered by air from Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon to Sittwe Township on Tuesday.
