Inspections in Yangon &Bago: Union Minister inspects power sub-stations construction

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun inspected construction of the 500 KV Power Sub-station in Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region.

During the inspection, at the briefing hall, the Union Minister heard reports on the 500 KV PhaYaGyi-Hlaingthaya Power Line, construction process of the Power Sub-station and plans. In his response, the Union Minister said It is necessary to transport the facilities to be used in the construction in advance as now is the open season.

He also called for timely completion of the projects and quality construction. And, the Union Minister inspected installation of transformers, shunt reactor and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear, and construction process of a control building. He continued his inspection trip to the 500 KV PhaYaGyi Power Sub-station construction site in Bago, heard reports and gave necessary instructions.

It’s learnt that construction of the 500 KV Power Sub-station in Hlaingthaya Township and 500 KV PhaYaGyi Power Sub-station has now been 68 percent completed, and efforts are being made to complete the construction in 2024.
