Inspections in Myitkyina area: Chief Minister makes inspections of farmlands

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan made inspections in Myitkyina Township.

First, the Chief Minister inspected arrangements for cultivation of monsoon paddy, solar-powered irrigation system and conditions of encroachment and construction on agricultural lands in ManKhein Ward.

In Tatkone Ward and Sitapu area, he also inspected condition of the 100-acre model farmland, avoidance of waste discharge into agricultural lands, clarification of construction of houses on farmland in accordance with the law and the use of mobile solar-powered pump for plantations.

During the inspections, the Chief Minister coordinated with concerned officials on to persuade farmers and growers to cultivate three crops a year and to support them with agricultural inputs.
