Inspection in Yangon: SAC Chairman inspects shipyard in Kyimyindaing Township

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Saturday accompanied by Yangon Region Chief Minister, Commander of the Yangon Region Command, Yangon City Mayor and concerned officials inspected preparations to re-operate the Joung Wyne Shipyard in Joung Wyne Village of Kyimyindaing Township in Yangon.

There, Senior General heard report on the condition of the Joung Wyne shipyard and tasks to be implemented. Then, Senior General provided necessary instructions to modify the shipyard, to install the necessary equipment for vessel building and repairing processes as well as to manage to include staff housing and required infrastructures for the convenience of the staff.

Then, Senior General and party inspected the shipyard and coordinated necessities.  It’s reported that Joung Wyne Shipyard is now 36 years old and the damage can be increased due to lack of operation. Therefore, it’s required to make preparations for the reoperation of the Joung Wyne Shipyard.
