Inspection of Work Implementations: Kayah State CM inspected work implementations

The Kayah State Government has been vigorously implementing regional development projects across the state. In the morning on December 1st, accompanied by responsible officials, Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin inspected the ongoing road upgrading works from gravel road to asphalt paved road, as well as the construction progress of affordable housing units.

First, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the upgrading works on the 3,400-foot-long section of Bola Ma ာ Road in Htu Du Ngantha Village of Loikaw, where the gravel road is being upgraded to a asphalt paved road. The Director of the State Rural Road Development Department explained that about 70 percent of the work has been completed. The Chief Minister instructed that the works must meet quality standards and be completed on schedule, and provided necessary guidance. He then continued inspecting the works along the road.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the construction of affordable housing units in Myay Ni Kone Myo Oo Ward and Naung Yar (A) Ward. These units are being built to ensure proper living conditions for civilians and government staff whose homes were damaged or destroyed due to violent acts committed by terrorist insurgent groups. Responsible officials explained the ongoing progress of the construction. The Chief Minister provided necessary guidance and gave words of encouragement to the homeowners.

It is learned that, as a first phase, the Kayah State Government is simultaneously constructing 50 affordable housing units for civilians and government staff whose homes were destroyed in the wards Naung Yar (A), Naung Yar (B), Daw Ukhu , Dhamma Yone , Min Su , Nam Kwut ၊, Nanattaw , Hte Thama ထေးသမ, and Myay Ni Kone Myo Oo ward in Loikaw.
