Inspection of work implementation: MoEA UM inspected National Races Village (Yangon)

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by Yangon Region Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Jacob Htoo and other concerned officials, visited the National Races Village in Thaketa Township of Yangon on 30th June.

During the visit, the Union Minister met with the staff working in the Directorate of Ethnic Affairs and the National Races Village in Yangon and made a speech.Next, the Yangon Region Ethnic Affairs Minister reported on the current status of ethnic affairs in the region.

Subsequently, departmental staff presented departmental issues, followed by a detailed discussion led by the Director General of the Department of Ethnic Literature and Culture. The Union Minister then fulfilled the requirements based on these reports.And, the Union Minister, accompanied by concerned officials, led the planting of Gantgaw trees at the monsoon tree planting ceremony held at the National Races Village in Yangon.

During this event, the staff also planted various kinds of saplings in designated places. The Union Minister, along with the Region Ethnic Affairs Minister, observed and encouraged the staff participating in the tree planting activities.Consequently, a fish releasing ceremony took place at Inle Lake of the Yangon National Races Village, where the Union Minister, officials, and staff collectively released 10,200 fingerlings into the lake.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the ethnic traditional dance refresher course.Following the ceremony, the Union Minister presented completion certificates and certificates of honor to the trainees and the dance instructors, respectively. He then enjoyed the song and dance performances presented by the trainees, awarded them with cash prizes for their performances.
