Inspection of Universities: MoE UM inspected Universities in Yangon

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe visited Dagon University in Dagon Myothit (North) in the morning on Thursday, inspected the good look of the teaching buildings in the university campus, cleaning and greening tasks carried out and the comletion of brick wall in time for the security of the University and gave necessary instruction.

Next, the Union Minister met with the Rector, Pro-Rector, professors and associate-professors at the convocation hall of the univeristy and gave necessary instruction. Then, the Union Minister viewed the students studying Botanical subject and Bio-Chemistry subjects peacefuly and gave words of encouragement to the students.

Consequently, the Union Minister visited Yangon University of Economics (Ywathagyi) in Dagon Myothit (South) and inspected the good look of the teaching buildings in the university campus, cleaning and greening tasks carried out.

Then, the Union Minister arrived at Industrial Agricultural and lifestock breeding High School in Dagon Myothit (South), viewed the practical study of the subject and gave words of encouragement. The Union Minister also viewed the students studying peacefully at the Basic Education Middle School (Myanma Thar Kaung).

In the evening, the Union Minister met with the Township education officers and the school principals in the Yangon Region and gave necessary instruction. After that, the Union Minister fulfilled the requirements regarding with the reports of the Township education officers and the school principals.

For 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 679,263 students enrolled at the basic education schools, private schools and monastic education schools from 23rd of May to 5th of June and the enrolment of remaining students is being tak in place at the relevant schools, it’s learnt.
