Inspection Trip: MoNREC Union Minister makes inspection tour

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi met with Kayin State Chief Minister and State Ministers at the hall of the Kayin State Government Office on Sunday.

At the meeting, they discussed coordinated measures on forests, mineral and environmental conservations. Then, the Union Minister visited Forest Department in Hpa-An Township and officials reported information of State forest and working conditions, and the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.

Next, Union Minister inspected the conditions of planted seedlings and preparations of seedlings that will be planted in Myoma garden. Next, the Union Minister inspected Myanma Timber Enterprise, officials reported their working conditions and the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with departmental officials at the State Office of Forest Department and urged them to try hard and fulfilled the requirements submitted by the staff. Then, the Union Minister inspected the maintenance activities of Bat Cave in Hpa-An, 426 acres of Yathaypyan Local Environmental Conservation area and 110 acres of KawGon Cave Local Environmental Conservation area, and gave necessary suggestions.

Later the day, the Union Minister inspected the working conditions of relaxation place of HparMal Botanical Garden as the Urban Forest in Hpa-An Township and gave necessary instructions. On Monday morning, the Union Minster met with staff from Department of Environmental Conservation and Mineral Resources in Kayin State and inspected the working activities.
