Inspection Trip: MOEP Union Minister inspects inflow of Ayeyawady Reiver

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han together with the Ayeyawaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and departmental officials made inspection at Ayeyawaddy River water resource, between Phaung Sate and Kyauk Ye villages, 5 miles from Hinthada Township on 29 of June.

Officials from the Directorate of Water Resource and Improvement of River System under the Ministry of Transport and Communications reported on the situations on the conservation of river and inflow of sea water into the river.

Then, the Director General from the Department of Hydro-power Implementation under the Ministry of Electric Power clarified the geographical situations of the river.

In response to the reports, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions on the need to carry out fesability study for environment impact report. Then, the Union Minister and party made inspection on the condition of inflow of river, silting in the river course and geographical features along the river banks.
