







Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw made inspection tour in Magway Region on Thursday.
After inspecting the distribution of irrigated water and reusing the water in Pulin Dam irrigated areas of Myo Thit Myo township, the Deputy Minister stressed active cooperation between Water Utilization Groups and local growers for getting sufficent irrigated water because of reducing fresh water resources due to climate change.
And, the Deputy Minister and party made survey inspection of the new pumping project site on Yin creek for distribution of water to 400 acreas of farmlands and they also inspected the distribution of irrigated water from Nat Mauk dam.
At the No.3 Medium Mechanic Workshop under the Agriculture Mechanization Department (Magway), the Deputy Minister observed the working processes and gave necessary instructions. Then, he met with the departmental officials at the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and discussed the development of agriculture-based products.
Next, he inspected working processes of getting water from Eain Ma irrigated areas and gave necessary instructions. And, he visited LaeKine village in Pwintphyu Township and viewed around the distribution of irrigated water to 360 acres from 20 wells by using solar power system and the site where a Solar-Powered Turbine Pump will be constructed for 397 acres of farmlands in Hlae Gyi Yoe irrigated areas.
Later, they arrived at the Hydro-powered Turbine Pump Station in Myauk Mone ditch and inspected repairing the current one and construction of a new one.
