


Union Minister for Labour visited the Technical Training School under the Department of Labour in Dagon Myothit (North) Township, Yangon Region, in the afternoon on Thursday to inspect the facility.
First, the Union Minister heard the clarifications about the ongoing activities related to the courses by the officials in charge of the training school at the school's meeting hall. Upon the clarifications, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate records of workers employed abroad, ensuring effective assistance in case of any difficulties faced by overseas workers, formulating necessary policies based on migration data, and systematically registering individuals planning to work abroad.
He also instructed officials to ensure the security of data related to the Overseas Worker Identification Card (OWIC). Following this, the Union Minister inspected various training programs, including basic garment sewing courses, Korean language proficiency tests for Myanmar workers preparing to work in South Korea under the EPS (Employment Permit System) program, and pre-departure training sessions for workers planning to work abroad.
He provided necessary instructions and warmly encouraged the trainees. Additionally, the Union Minister observed the process of issuing Overseas Worker Identification Cards (OWIC) to workers preparing to work abroad and personally handed over the OWIC cards to the workers.
