Inspection Tour: Union ministers inspect electricity generation plants

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko and entrepreneurs from the Mandalay Industrial Zone toured the Taung Taw Kwin solar-powered electricity generation plant in Myitha Township.

There on Saturday, the Union Minister for Electric Power explained his ministry’s efforts to provide electricity for micro, small and medium enterprises and benefits of solar-powered electricity generation and pledged to provide assistance for the solar-powered electricity generation.

Also, the Union Minister for Information stressed that his ministry will participate with media sector to help the public know more about solar-powered electricity generation. The Regional Chief Minister also gave a speech. The 30 MW Tha Pyay Wa solar-powered electricity generation project and the 20 MW Taung Taw Kwin solar-powered electricity generation were explained by officials from the Green Power Energy Co., Ltd.

The Union Minister for Information provided a MRTV DTH set to the Taung Taw Kwin solar-powered electricity generation plant. The Union Ministers and party also toured the plant. On the same day, they also visited the Yeywa Hydropower Station in Kyaukse District, heard reports and fulfill requirements. The Union Ministers and party also toured the Station and provided cash awards and foodstuffs to staff.
