Inspection Tour: Union Minister makes inspections in Meikhtila and Wundwin

Union Minster for Industry Dr. Charlie Than on Sunday visited the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection of Meikhtila District. During the visit, the Union Minister heard report on operation of industries and MSMEs in the District, assistance for MSMEs development and plans.

In his response, the Union Minister said that for the development of the Meikhtila area, development of the private industry must be the main focus. The actual situation and difficulties of private industries on the ground and the current condition of the Meikhtila Industrial Zone must be reported in a timely manner.

The Union Minister also urged concerned officials and staff to work harder than now for the development of MSMEs. After the meeting, the Union Minister made inspection of the Meikhtila Industrial Zone and held discussions with entrepreneurs on facts for the development of cotton-based industries.

The Union Minister also visited the No.7 Textile Factory Branch (Wundwin), heard report and called on concerned officials to create attractive designs, to carry out market research activities continuously, to monitor the production processes for quality control and to increase production for the self-sufficiency of the domestic clothing sector.

And, the Union Minister inspected fabric weaving processes. In Wundwin Township, the Union Minister inspected fabric production with solar system, fabric weaving and cotton milling process, and coordinated with concerned officials to fulfill the requirements of entrepreneurs.
