Inspection Tour: Union Minister inspects steel mill and textile factory

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than on Wednesday inspected the No. 1 Steel Mill (Myingyan) in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region for the fastest production of essential steel for industries and construction works. There, he inspected condition of no-load test driving of repaired equipment, repair of equipment and collecting raw materials for smelting. And, he stressed importance of workplace safety, record of equipment repair and filling the main auxiliary equipment for production activities in advance.

The Union Minister also heard report on matters including condition of repair of equipment and no-load test driving. In his response, the Union Minister called on officials to get human resources required for manufacturing activities, to develop training plans, to prepare for emergency response and to use budget effectively. The Union Minister continued his inspection tour to the No.8 Textile Factory (Pyawbwe) and gave necessary instructions.
