Inspection Tour: Union Minister Inspected Sub Office Of FDA In Mingalardon

The Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win inspected the sub office (Yangon) of the Food and Drug Administration Department in Mingalargon Township, Yangon Region in the afternoon on December 27.

First, the deputy director-general of the sub office (Yangon) of FDA clarified the purposes of constructing the sub office (Yangon) of FDA and the inspection works for foods, medicines, medical and cosmetic products to be able to carry out after completion of the sub office.

In the responding to the clarification, the union minister gave guidance on completion of construction works within the timeframe, responsible officials to supervise to enable to open it in the early period of coming year, maintenance of expensive machines and equipments, monitoring the construction works to meet the quality standards, arrangement to meet the international standards in the laboratory tests etc.

Then, the union minister viewed around the facility and instructed necessaries. Later, the union minister visited InSein People’s Hospital and inspected the status of preparations of emergency and outside patient department, operating theaters and the special intensive care wards and met with the responsible officials at the meeting room of the hospital.

At the meeting, the union minister instructed to carry out the preparations of adequate medicines, medical equipments, oxygen and patient beds for the possible next wave of COVID-19, supplement to give emergency treatment and normal healthcare works, fulfillment of human resources and to render the better services of healthcare etc.

Afterward, the union minister coordinated necessaries regarding with the reports of the meeting attendees.
