






Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung on Tuesday accompanied by State Government ministers and concerned officials made inspection on renovation of Kone Hlaing lake at Hlaing Bon Tha 2 ward in Shwe Nyaung Town of Taunggyi Township.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister heard reports by the Director of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and instructed the needs. The Chief Minister and party later attended the ceremony on provision of seeds and inputs to the farmers from flood effected areas due to Typhoon Yagi at Kone Mot Village of Than Tae Village-tract.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister said paddy, maize, oil crops, bean and pluses as well as coffee, tea leaf, avocado and macadamia are mainly cultivated and produced in Shan State.
Due to Typhoon Yagi, 15 types of crops within 29 townships in the State were destroyed. During the ceremony, 150 kilo seeds and 50 kilo Urea Fertilizer were provided to 50 growers in order to replant winter crops on 2214 acres within Taunggyi Township.
During the inspection at dairy farming zone in Kon Lon village-tract, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the construction of disinfection gate at the entrance and exist of the farm. Upon the clarifications made by the Director of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and departmental official, the Chief Minister coordinated the requirement for the development of livestock breeding sector. The Chief Minister also visited Super Seven Stars dairy farm and inspected the completion of dairy farming area.
Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the completion of renovation at Kyi Phyu Lake and heard the reports by the official. The Kyi Phyu Lake is situated near Se Lae village in Taunggyi and irrigated to 1,000 project areas annually.
