Inspection tour: Sagaing Region CM made an inspection tour

The Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, together with region government members, region-level departmental officials, and relevant authorities, observed the ongoing cleaning activities carried out by a combined force of over 500 people along the Union Road railway tracks from Kokko Street to Badauk Street in Myothit Ward, Monywa Township, on March 7.

Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and officials visited and encouraged the staff from various departments and local ward residents who were participating in the joint cleaning efforts, where cooking oil, rice, and vegetables were being sold at affordable prices. They also provided a breakfast for those who took part in the cleaning activities.

Afterwards, the Region Chief Minister and relevant officials inspected the construction work of a 4-foot-wide brick-lined drainage channel and the concreting and curbing of both sides of the road, stretching 4,200 feet from West Kanhtaya Lake to Monywa Golf Course in Aung Chan Thar Ward along the Monywa-Ye-U Road. They provided necessary guidance and instructions.

Following this, the Region Chief Minister and officials visited fuel retail stations in Monywa, instructing the personnel in charge on necessary matters and observing the systematic sale of fuel. They also cordially met with members of the public purchasing fuel and discussed the State's arrangements to ensure sufficient fuel for the people, as well as urging the public to comply with the set regulations when purchasing.

Later, the Region Chief Minister and officials attended the knowledge sharing session for the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation held at the Chindwin Hall in Monywa. On the occasion, the Region Chief Minister and his wife who is also the Patron of the Sagaing Region Women's Affairs Federation, regional government members, and the Chairperson of the Sagaing Region Women's Affairs Federation presented certificates of honor for the 2025 operational activities and cash awards to the district and township women's affairs federations within the Region, it’s reported.
