Inspection Tour: Preparation measures to prevent river bank erosion

In order to prevent floods and land erosion along Ayeyawady River, preparation measures are underway along the river bank in Hinthada Township of Ayeyawady Region.

On Saturday, Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, together with officials, visited the project site in Eait Pyet Village-Tract where the construction of retaining wall and  dredging works. They later took a vessel tour to oversee the work undertakings.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for timely completion of the tasks, meeting the set standards and ensuring the worksite safety. They then inspected the conditions of river bank erosion in Ohn Kone Village on the bank of Ayeyawady River in Letpadan Township. The Union Minister instructed to draft the effective master plan for systematic preparation works.
