






Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San made inspections in Yangon Region on Friday.
First, the Union Minister inspected the Radio Frequency Measurement Base Station (South Dagon) in Dagon Myothit (South) Township. There, he called on officials to ensure that the frequency bands do not interfere with each other and stressed the importance of no illegal frequency bands users, systematic record of data on frequency usage, long-term use of equipment, safety and full staff capacity.
He also presented gifts to staff. The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to the Toe Kyaung Kalay Satellite ground station and heard report on links connected to satellite communication equipment and connectivity for access to mobile communication systems in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
In his response, the Union Minister called for efforts to become reliable operators, to emphasize on innovation and excellence, to set affordable rate that the public can use and to use the state-owned Myanmar Satellite 2 channels.
There, he also presented gifts to staff. The Union Minister also inspected the Ware House, gave necessary instructions and presented gifts to staff. Also, he inspected the Hanthawaddy Data Center in Sanchaung Township and stressed the need that there are standby auxiliary power generators, ability to connect with backups and that the equipment's performance qualities are up to standard.
The Union Minister also inspected operation rooms and presented gifts to staff. Also, he inspected the locomotive factory (Insein), heard reports, gave necessary instructions and presented gifts to staff. On the same day, the Union Minister visited Myanma Railways Hospital (Insein) and made cash donation.
