






The Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, Daw Nu Mra Zan, together with officials from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum, visited and inspected the preservation and maintenance of ancient stupas and temples in the Bagan Archeological heritage Zone of Mandalay Region, as well as the installation of lightning protection measures in the morning of November 17.
The Deputy Minister and members inspected the conditions of the access routes to the ancient structures No. (207) Tissa pagoda and structure No. (211), ensuring that pilgrims can easily visit these pagodas. During the inspection, the responsible officials presented their plans for improving access. The Deputy Minister directed that arrangements be made in coordination with the relevant departments to ensure long-term convenience for the visitors.
Furthermore, the condition of the restoration and maintenance of the ancient structure numbered (345) at Wutthana Taw collected Pagodas, which was damaged due to heavy rainfall during the Pyphoon Yagi, was also reviewed. The completion of the lightning protection installation at the ancient structure numbered (374) was noted, along with the cleanliness efforts undertaken around the upper part of the pagoda and the surrounding area in Zone D. Inspections were also conducted on the ancient structure numbered (235), the Thagyar Pone Pagoda, where the responsible officials provided detailed reports on their work.
The Deputy Minister gave necessary instructions upon the clarifications of the responsible officials.
