Inspection tour: MoNREC Union Minister inspected nursery gardens

The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Aung Yi inspected the 110 acres of commercial teakwood plantation on land plot no (13) in Kuu Pyin forest reserve in Tharzi Township in the morning on 7th May.

Next, the Union Minister arrived at Inn Pyin Nursery garden in Kalaw Township of Shan State (South), heard the reports of the responsible officials and instructed to continue growing pine trees in momentum to fulfill the target for being Kalaw to be a pine tree city, preserve and extend forest in Inlay Lake watershed area, conserve biodiversity, protect water source and watershed area of Hti Thein Lake which is essential for water supply to Taunggyi, to address the capturing illegal timbers by drawing plans and preserve growing large group of pine trees at both sites of Pindaya-Baw Sai Road.

Next, the Union Minister inspected nurturing pine saplings for growing 2024 monsoon season.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the plantation of forest filling in Aung Ban forest reserve and Thi Khaung forest reserve and the preparation works for growing 5 acres of pine trees.

Then, the Union Minister inspected nurturing saplings in Heho Nursery Garden, growing large group of pine trees at the both sites of Heho-Baw Sai Road, Taung Lay Lone and Aye Thayar Nursery Gardens where the pine saplings are nurtured to grow in a large group to protect the soil erosion.
