






Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing together with the officials met with the personnel from Kawt Thaung District and Township Officer’s Office and second division of Immigration Department (Kawt Thaung) at Minzuthaka Hall of Kawt Thaung Township, Taninthayi Region in the morning on 25th January.
At the meeting, the Union Minister clarified the implementation of the Ministry’s vision and tasks, ground enumeration which is a task that is important and must to be achieved for the country in current situation, issuing citizenship scrutinizing card with Pan Khin Project, collecting Biographic/Biometric for e-ID system, conducting preparations for 2024 national census, coordination with the relevant departments with the personnel from the department under the Ministry, to carry out the tasks of immigration accurately, correctly and systematically in line with the procedures, as Kawt Thaung region is the international gate connected with Thailand in water way etc.
Next, the Union Minister together with Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko visited Hanthawady Hall of the General Administration Department of Kawt Thaung Township and oversaw the issuing Citizenship Scrutiny Card with Pan Khin Project (3) to the local residents, collecting Biographic/Biometric data in One Stop Service and scrutinizing data entry into the server at the Headquarter.
The Union Minister gave necessary instruction to the officials and cordially greeted the local people. In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected MoU U-Turn service camp of immigrant workers’ office, completion of installing machines and equipment to verify citizenship with e-ID system, heard the clarification of the officials, coordinated requirements and looked round the camp.
Then, the Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected the site for opening Myoma temporary wharf and the land plot where the temporary immigration office will be constructed and coordinated requirements. Next, the Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected inspection counter for foreigners making entry and exit with passport under the second immigration division and BP/TBP scrutinizing and issuing counter and gave necessary instruction to the officials.
The Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected the immigration inspection gates at Mwyaytaw , Yadana and Thahtay islands, heard the clarifications of the officials concerned, gave necessary instruction and coordinated requirements.
