Inspection tour: MoIP UM inspected offices in Myanmar-Lao border area

The Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, Commander of Triangle Command Brigadier General Soe Hlaing in the morning on November 6, paid homage to the Presiding Sayadaw of Thiladhamma Konetha Tawya monastery in Kengtung Township, Shan State (East), supplicated religious matters, offered the offertories and took the sermon delivered by the Sayadaw.

 Next, the Union Minister met with the civil service personnel from Shan State (East) Deputy Head Officer’s office, District and Township officers’ offices under the Ministry of Immigration and Population, gave necessary instructions and coordinated requirements.

Following this, the Union Minister visited Kengtung District and Township officer’s office and inspected work operations of the office and coordinated necessary matters.

From there, the Union Minister toured to Myanmar-Lao Friendship Bridge border checkpoint in Kyaing Latt  town, inspected immigration procedures, status of offices of border trade related departments and security measures at the bridge and border checkpoint.

Then, the Union Minister inspected friendship bridge, border point mark of two countries at the center of the bridge, waterway under the bridge, bilateral trade and immigration procedures and inquired necessary matters to the concerned officials.

At the meeting hall of the border checkpoint, Union Minister met with the officials from the departments related to the border trade, gave necessary instructions, offered to submit the requirements and difficulties encountered at the work. Union Minister coordinated requirements upon the reports of the personnel.

After that, the Union Minister inspected Kyaing Latt border trade camp, heard the clarifications of the concerned officials and gave necessary instructions.
