






Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing paid a visit to Taungoo District General Administration Department together with concerned officials on Monday morning.
Upon the arrival, the Union Minister and party heard the reports on ground census enumeration, works arrangement for Pan Khin project and nationwide census presented by the departmental personnel. The Union Minister highlighted the importance of accurate voter list, issuance of citizenship scrutiny cards for eligible voters as per the Pan Khin project and nationwide census enumeration for the country.
He called for all-round cooperation of all local authorities and departmental organizations for work completion.Next, the Union Minister visited the District and Township officer’ offices of the Ministry of Immigration and Population. During the visit, he inspected the offices, the orderly maintenance of office documents and personal files in the record room and work operation.
He then instructed the officials to verify the personal information correctly and make efforts for timely completion. Upon the arrival at Taungoo University, the Union Minster made an inspection for the issuance of national registration cards to students and locals as per the Pan Khin Project and biographic and biometric data collection with e-ID system through One Stop Service.
He heard a follow-up briefing on works undertaking presented by the officials and gave instruction to provide effective services to the people and revise and confirm the personal information in accordance with the procedures. At the university, the unique ID numbers had been issued for a total of 162 national registration card holders through e-ID system respectively.
Next, the Union Minister proceeded to Taungoo Education Degree College and met with the departmental personnel from Taungoo District and Township officers’ offices. At the meeting, he gave instructions to the personnel for the prioritized tasks to be implemented, works completion within the specified period, all-round cooperation, security issues and effective service provision in addition to serving assigned duties in a unity.
After that, the Union Minister had lunch together with the personnel in the college hall and provided cash and food assistance for the canteen.
