Inspection Tour: MOI Union Minister inspects Pangpet Steel Mill

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and officials, visited No.2 Steel Mill (Pangpet) in Taunggyi on Friday.
The official reported on work undertakings, availability of raw materials and work plans. The Union Minister instructed for timely completion of the projects, efficient use of allotted budget, systematic implementation of mineral exploration process and nurturing experts needed for the mill. The Chief Minister also pledged to fulfill the needs for operating the production process.
Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the installation of machine, mineral exploration area, Phase-1 and Phase-2 Workshops, construction of small scale foundry and waste treatment facility. They also viewed the condition of Namtaphet Creek which will be used as water source for the mill.
