Inspection tour: MoI Union Minister inspected factories in Yangon

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, in the afternoon on October 1st inspected the factories leased to the ThiriSandar Garment and General Cooperative Limited, Garment factory of Family United Power Co., Ltd. and Myanmar Integrated Communication and Trading Co., Ltd. from the ministry for more production of clothes which is a basic need of the people, more creation of job opportunities for the local residents and the development of micro, small and medium enterprises.

During the inspection of the factories, the union minister said that the state is supporting and encouraging for the surviving and development of local entrepreneurs, as the clothing is a basic item that needs from the cradle to the grave, it’s required to expand the production to reduce the export from foreign countries, since the factories are situated at the urban area with dense population, the environmental impact is needed to address.

The state is providing for acquiring high yielding cotton seeds, agricultural inputs and technological assistances for the sufficiency of domestic garment sector.The entrepreneurs need to discuss regarding the difficulties facing so that the solution in correct way will be received.

Some portion of the profits from the business should be used in the wellbeing programs for the employees. The arrangement is needed for the employees to receive the certification in their skill levels. Then, the union minister inspected production of various garments in each factory.
