Inspection Tour: MOE UM inspected schools in Meiktila

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, accompanied by Mandalay Region Education Officer U Kyaw Moe Tun and other responsible officials, visited Basic Education High School No. 5 (Shan Te) in Meiktila in the afternoon on July 10.

During the visit, the Union Minister toured the school compound and inspected the progress of preparations for the construction of a three-storey classroom building and the condition of the land designated for it. He also warmly interacted with students who were peacefully studying and offered them words of encouragement.

Following this, the Union Minister proceeded to Basic Education High School No. 1, where he examined the layout plans for the construction of a multi-purpose school hall. He held cordial discussions with the school principal and teachers, listened to their reports, and provided necessary support and coordination based on their needs.

Afterward, the Union Minister visited the Meiktila Education Degree College’s Practicing Middle School. There, he observed practical teaching sessions conducted by trainee teachers from the Degree College and also inspected the ongoing construction of the football field and spectator stands. He met openly and warmly with the school principal and faculty members, addressing their concerns and providing assistance where needed.

Continuing his inspection tour, the Union Minister then visited Meiktila University, where he examined the ongoing construction of the Recreation Center within the university campus and reviewed the proposed site selection for a new academic building. He held friendly discussions with the Rector, professors, and teaching staff and followed up by addressing their requests and offering further assistance.
