Inspection Tour: MOC Union Minister makes inspection tour

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, together with officials, visited Central Training Centre in Thingangyun township, Yangon on Sunday.

The Principal reported on the brief history, training courses for capacity building and library facilities, in which the Director-General supplemented on the report. Upon the reports, the Union Minister instructed to share Myanmar National Building Code-2025 and to upgrade the library as e-library.

The Union Minister and party then inspected the library including library management system and arrangements for convenient access of e-book. At the Quality Control Research Division under the Road Department, officials reported on status of testing stability and flow of road design as well as for soil and asphalt quality.

The Union Minister later inspected the Quality Control Research Division under the Bridge Department and instructed to supervise the testing of construction materials to meet the standard and to maintain the laboratory equipment systematically. Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the maintenance of Yangon – Nay Pyi Taw road section along the Yangon – Mandalay express way and the reconstruction of Swa Creek Bridge.
