







The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung currently in Shan State to fulfill the requirements, for the development of agricultural products of Shan State, upgrading the agricultural research sector and increasing number of agriculture and livestock breeding based mid-level vocational skillful professionals, inspected Kalaw Township Department of Agriculture, gardening farm, vegetable and plan biology center (branch) and the work implementations of Heho Gardening farm in the morning on September 1st.
First, the Director General of the department of Agriculture and farm in-charge reported the status of seed producing and research works, potato plant propagation, Yayzin hybrid sunflower, seed producing of Basmati and Shwe Yin Aye rice variety and the Union Minister instructed necessary matters and inspected practical work implementation in Heho farm.
Next, the Union Minister also inspected storage of inflow water and contribution of region In-Gaung Dam (Heho Lake) for the region, visited the Institute of Agriculture, Livestock breeding (Heho), gave words of encouragement for the students, provided cash assistance for the teachers and students and inspected teaching and learning activities in the class rooms, mess hall, dormitories, livestock breeding practical room and practical training on the ground.
The Union Minister and party also inspected Heho pedigree seeds farms, Tar Yaw Agricultural Research Farm in Shwe Nyaung Township, land developing project for Kyauk Ni small scale livestock breeding farms in Taunggyi Township, heard the clarification of the director General of livestock breeding and veterinary department and the officials of relevant departments.
In responding to the clarifications, the Union Minister instructed to be in line with the existing law regarding with the land use, to give priority to those who assure for investments and actual implementation and the opportunity for the cooperative capital establishment.
