Inspection Tour: MoALI Dy Minister made a field trip to Kayin State

To support the MSMEs development in Kayin State, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. AungGyi together with Kayin State Minister of Economic Affairs made a field trip to pig and duck breeding tasks in Hpa-An township.

During his inspection, the Deputy Minister met with relevant officials and breeders and gave necessary instructions to produce the safety products, bio security of breeding farms and provide technical assistances. Next, the Deputy Minister inspected conservation of fish species and related activities at the Hpa-An fish breeding camp and gave necessary instructions including the development of fish breeding techniques and promote the awareness activities.

Next, Deputy Minister visited the fish breeding farm which is be carried out by State economic promotion fund and extension of the tasks.  Then, the Deputy Minister met with region, district and township level agricultural officials at the meeting hall of the Regional Agriculture Department in Hpa-An Township and gave instructions for promoting rice, corn seed, peanut and sesame production, providing technique for livestock sector and creating opportunities for private investment in accordance with the law in Kayin State.

In the Afternoon, the Deputy Minister met with Kayin State Chief Minister and the State Ministers visited the State Government Guest House and discussed matters on local food surplus, achieving of target yield, extension of fish breeding depending on the region, behaviors of feeding animals and livestock zone extension.

Later, Deputy Minister inspected functions of Hpa-An Livestock Zone and met with local breeders and gave necessary instructions. In the evening, Deputy Minister met students from Agricultural Institute and presented food to them and inspected the practical training center and breeding activities. Later, he attended scattering of natural and chemical fertilizers in the fields affected by floods in KamyawKasin village of Hpa-An Township.
